The village is invitation only. Applications are reviewed by the core contributors so the room stays diverse and everyone gets a real chance to meet each other.
Applications for 2027 are not open yet. Leave us a note and we will get in touch as soon as they are.
Limited capacity β 100 villagers per day.
The village runs on companies and foundations giving back to the people who maintain the open source they depend on. Sponsor slots for 2027 are open.

The Open Source Village is a co-created pop-up village alongside FOSDEM 2027. We co-create a welcoming environment for open source communities to connect, collaborate, and build lasting relationships.
Whether you are arriving early or staying late, our village offers coworking spaces, workshops, evening socials, and a hub for connecting with the open source community.
This is an opportunity to give back to the people that contribute all year long to the open source projects that we rely on β and to take good care of them.
The village is put together by a small crew of volunteers, currently Leen and Miriam. Want to help build it? Come and say hello β the village is co-created, and there is always room for another pair of hands.
